Gerald's best friend shows up at the house expecting Gerald. Instead he finds Veronica, Gerald's stepmom, whom he considers seriously attractive, and discovers Gerald is out for the moment. Then Holly arrives for a Pilates session with Veronica, who is not dressed for it. The two women size the visitor up fast, and before he can excuse himself they have a wager going on which of them he ends up with first. Gerald's return time is vague at best.
