Before episode 1
Jake is flying out to an important conference, and Sofia sends him off in style: pancakes, encouragement and an offer to be his dessert once he is back on Monday. Then Jake, already on his way, remembers something: a buddy of his is coming by with a new graphics card and knows how to set it up. Sofia was not consulted. So a man she has never met is about to spend a while in Jake's office, while she is home by herself and planning a workout.
The people in it
- Sofia: Jake's affectionate partner, suddenly hosting a stranger she never agreed to, with a workout already planned.
- Jake: Away at a big conference until Monday, he delegates his computer upgrade in one breezy message.
- Jake's friend: Unnamed and businesslike, he only wants the new card installed before Jake gets back.
The two free episodes
Episode 1Free, no account
On the morning of his big day, Sofia wakes a sleepy Jake and tells him he is going to nail the conference. He credits her as his good-luck charm. She hints that breakfast is not the only thing on offer, he admires her in next to nothing, and she promises to be dessert when he comes back. They part with plans for Monday and a request to check in once he lands. Then comes a message from Jake: he forgot to mention that a friend will drop off his new graphics card and handle the install. Sofia's reaction is pure exasperation. Soon the friend is at the door, and she welcomes him in as Jake's buddy.
Episode 2Free with a free account
The friend explains the deadline: Jake wants the card in before Monday, and it should be a quick job. Sofia directs him to Jake's office, on the left, impossible to miss. Then she mentions, casually, that she is heading into her workout, if he does not mind. He tells her to go right ahead. Some time later, job done, he calls her name to say he is finished. No answer. He tries again, and the episode ends on that silence: a stranger in somebody else's office and Sofia nowhere to be heard.
Where the free run stops. Nobody answers, and the free stretch ends right there. Where Sofia has gone, why she stays quiet, and how far a favor for Jake is about to stretch are the open questions, with Jake still out of town.
What kind of show it is
A slow-burn tease with dialogue kept to a minimum: a sweet couple's morning, a careless favor, a stranger in the house. The heat lives in what goes unsaid rather than in the lines themselves. It runs on timing and suggestion, with Jake's cluelessness quietly setting everything up.
