Before episode 1
The company is traveling by overnight train, and a booking error lands one employee in compartment 12, which his boss has claimed in full for himself and his wife. The boss wants him gone immediately. The wife is the real complication: she is the woman this employee has fantasized about for ages. The boss has a presentation tomorrow, the employee has a job he cannot afford to lose, and between them lies a long night in very close quarters.
The people in it
- The employee: Stuck in the wrong berth with his boss's wife, desperate to keep both his job and his composure.
- The boss: A brusque husband who treats the employee like an errand runner and dreams that his wife leaves him.
- Veronica Parker: The boss's wife, who calls the employee her favorite and expects to be addressed as ma'am.
The two free episodes
Episode 1Free, no account
His inner voice spots her first: the boss's wife, star of many private fantasies. The boss spots him next and demands to know what he is doing there. The employee explains, politely, that he was assigned to 12; the boss says 12 belongs to him and his wife, all of it, and orders him out. She intervenes, asking whether her husband would really make the man sleep in the corridor. The boss relents and the employee thanks him. Later she announces she feels chilly, and he spirals: does she want him, and will this cost him his job? She settles it. Her husband thinks this man is his star employee, she says, but he is her favorite, so he can start by warming her up.
Episode 2Free with a free account
Waking up, the boss asks what is going on. His wife claims she was helping the employee prep for tomorrow's presentation. Rattled, the boss confesses dreaming that Veronica walked out on him; she swears she never could. When the train halts at a station, the boss sends the employee for coffee, since he isn't paid to sit. Veronica overrides it: she needs help with her luggage and kits, so her husband can do the coffee run, the bags being too heavy for him. Alone, the employee worries about his job; she wonders what happens if her husband never finds out. Departure is minutes away. He tries a formal no; she corrects him: it's ma'am, not Mrs. Parker. He obeys.
Where the free run stops. On a station countdown, the free part ends: husband off buying coffee, the train about to pull out, and the employee newly trained to say ma'am. How far he goes in those few minutes, and whether the boss comes back early, is left open.
What kind of show it is
Workplace farce on rails. It moves briskly from one near-miss to the next, with more tension and banter than outright heat in the free part. The power games are the fun: the boss bullies the employee, the wife bullies the boss, and the employee says yes to whoever outranks him.
