Before episode 1
The parish adores its new priest, and his sermon on resisting temptation goes over beautifully, especially with Mika. She lingers after the service to praise it, then heads for confession. Her sin is easy to name and hard for him to hear: ever since he arrived, her thoughts about him have been anything but holy. Every word she says in the booth tests whether he believes what he preached.
The people in it
- Mika: A devoted parishioner whose devotion has drifted toward the priest himself, and she says so.
- The priest: Newly arrived, admired by his flock, and finding his own sermon on temptation hard to live up to.
The two free episodes
Episode 1Free, no account
A flash-forward sets the stakes: Mika urging the priest to order her to stop, and him pleading her name without ever actually saying the word, which she points out. Then back to the service. Worshippers file out praising it and telling the new priest the parish is fortunate to have him. There is a slightly awkward exchange of apologies and blessings, then Mika tells him she found the sermon inspiring, particularly the section about resisting temptation. The last scene moves to the confessional, where she opens with the traditional formula and, asked to name her sin, admits she has been thinking impure things about the new priest.

Inside the booth, Mika turns theology into flirtation with a riddle: at what distance does temptation become an actual sin? The priest objects to her speaking to him that way. She counters that confession is supposed to be where she holds nothing back, and offers to describe what she pictured after his sermon. He refuses, and she notes how fast the refusal came. Her fantasy, she says, began with his hands. He observes that absolution is plainly not what she came for, and she agrees. She tells him he seemed disappointed when she walked away earlier. A courteous gesture follows, and she gives him one last chance to say no.
Where the free run stops. Mika's final offer to let him refuse is where it cuts out, with the priest saying neither yes nor no. Whether he stays true to his own sermon or breaks his vows is exactly the question left hanging.
What kind of show it is
Hushed and dialogue-driven, built almost entirely on confessional wordplay about sin, temptation and forgiveness. The heat lives in what Mika describes and what the priest refuses to hear. She is relentless and playful; he is torn, formal, and losing ground with every line. Slow, tense, very talky.
