Before episode 1
Jake's scholarship depends on a single passing mark, and Professor Vaughn has just told him he flunked a third exam. She has noticed more than his scores, too, including where his eyes wander during lectures. Jake has a girlfriend, Maya, who takes the same course and keeps setting the curve. Vaughn controls the grade, and she's confident the dean, or anyone else, will never hear about what happens behind her door.
The people in it
- Jake: Scholarship on the line, failing the course, and too distracted by his professor to fix it.
- Professor Vaughn: Strict, observant, and unbothered by rules, she offers Jake an alternate route to a passing mark.
- Maya: Jake's girlfriend and the top performer in Vaughn's course, determined to help him pass honestly.
The two free episodes
Episode 1Free, no account
Stakes first: one passing grade or the scholarship is gone. Vaughn informs Jake this is his third failed exam. He pleads; she tells him to come by her office after five. Once the door is shut, she wants to discuss his results. Her read is that he's capable but distracted, and he admits he can't help staring. She caught that during lectures already. He apologizes. She isn't upset, she says; she's proposing a bargain. There is an alternate path to the grade, nobody will know, the dean included, and the outcome depends on his skill. Then she points out the lock and hands him the next move.

Still undecided, Jake backs out: he's taken. Vaughn finds that adorable, says the offer stands, and predicts he'll return. Enter Maya, his girlfriend and the course's star, bragging about another top score and Vaughn calling her the best she has taught. Jake praises her. Vaughn, meanwhile, is sure he'll come crawling back, as they all do. Jake worries aloud that failing means losing the scholarship entirely. Maya insists he's smarter than he believes, that they'll study together, and that he needs no special favors. During a study break, Vaughn's line about another route replays in his head. Maya notices him drift. He swears he's present, while admitting to us that his mind is on the professor.
Where the free run stops. Inside Jake's head is where things stall: Maya right beside him, Vaughn's offer still open, and his scholarship hanging on one grade. Does he walk back into that office, or let Maya's study plan do the work?
What kind of show it is
Temptation on a timer, heavier on talk and pressure than on heat so far. Vaughn is cool and patient, Maya is warm and earnest, and Jake is caught between them with his own guilt narrating. The tension lives in the offer, not the act.
