Before episode 1
He needs a room, and the house says yes on the spot. His new roommates are Mona, who does the welcoming, and a woman who goes by Darkangel, a recent arrival herself after a family blowup sent her packing. The two share a messy history: both were caught with the same man, Darkangel's stepbrother. Now there is a fresh face in the house, both of them want him, and neither has the slightest intention of sharing.
The people in it
- Mona: The roommate who welcomes him first and turns washing his car into a seduction strategy.
- Darkangel: Mona's housemate and rival, blunt and sarcastic, who refuses to let Mona reach him first.
- The new roommate: A good-natured newcomer who tends to say yes to whoever asks him something first.
The two free episodes
Episode 1Free, no account
Yes, he can stay, and Mona immediately calls Darkangel over to see the hot new roommate. Darkangel takes one look and asks if they get to keep him; Mona tells her to take a number. Introductions reveal Darkangel moved in recently too, thrown out after being found with her own stepbrother. Darkangel notes Mona was found with the same guy; Mona counters that at least he is not her stepbrother. The newcomer asks what they were doing, which they find adorable and promise to fix. Darkangel invites him to see her room. He asks if Mona is coming; Mona objects to being the entertainment, though she hopes to be included. Neither will share, so he jokes that he must pick. Soon someone asks if he has decided.
Episode 2Free with a free account
Mona is washing his car, slowly and thoroughly, and pitches a reward: when she is done, he drives her somewhere quiet, maybe the hills. Darkangel tells him to ignore the bait; Mona calls her jealous. Darkangel notes Mona has been scrubbing one spot the whole time. A tricky one, Mona explains, right before her shirt gets soaked, a disaster Darkangel finds suspiciously predictable. Darkangel's counteroffer: forget the hills and help her pick an outfit for tonight. Mona insists he is busy, too late. With Mona apparently shut out, Darkangel rushes him off before a window gets kicked in. Then she ditches the outfits, suggests food right now, dessert first, and tells him to let Mona know she ordered in.
Where the free run stops. The free stretch ends with Darkangel steering him toward dessert and leaving Mona to swallow the cover story. Whether Mona strikes back, and which of them he actually ends up choosing, is the question left hanging.
What kind of show it is
Loud, fast-paced roommate comedy. Two rivals trade sarcastic one-liners while staging ever more obvious seductions, and the guy in the middle mostly says yes to whatever comes first. The heat is cheeky rather than intense, driven by sabotage, soaked shirts and a race neither woman admits is a race.
