Before episode 1
Niko has a glamorous partner and a lifestyle to match, but over dinner he confesses to his closest friend that the business is gone and he is going broke. She has not heard the news. The woman herself seems to size men up by what they can afford, and tonight she makes no secret of finding Niko dull. His friend still has money, a spotless reputation in Niko's eyes, and a front row seat to how quickly her attention can move.
The people in it
- Niko: A man losing his business and his fortune, trying to keep up appearances and keep his woman.
- Niko's partner: Glamorous and openly mercenary, she is bored with Niko and curious what his friend is worth.
- Niko's friend: The one with money left, loyal enough to cover the bill and tempted enough to linger.
The two free episodes
Episode 1Free, no account
Watching his partner move across the room, Niko jokes that keeping her is a full-time occupation. His friend notes she looks costly; Niko confesses his company has collapsed. She drifts over to ask what they are whispering about, and Niko slips away to settle up, claiming exhaustion. Alone with the friend, she shrugs off a compliment: looking costs nothing, though he probably cannot afford her. She calls Niko boring and wonders whether the friend is the type to spoil someone; he answers that with him, a woman has to earn it. Then the card is declined. She is mortified, the friend pays, Niko calls him a lifesaver, and on the way out she asks the friend if he wants to learn what she is worth.
Episode 2Free with a free account
In the back of a car, a drained Niko thanks his friend for rescuing the evening and calls him the best friend a man could want. She tells the friend he did not need to cover the check; he says Niko would have done the same. Then, under her breath, she warns him not to chase her. Chasing, he replies, is beneath a grown man. She hints he might be surprised by what he catches. When the driver announces their arrival, Niko insists his friend skip the drive home and sleep over, offering any room before heading to bed. She adds one word, stay, and recommends the guest wing for its privacy.
Where the free run stops. The ride ends at Niko's front door with the friend accepting a bed in the most private part of the house. Niko is headed to sleep, his partner is not, and the question is whether loyalty to a broke friend survives a night under the same roof as her.
What kind of show it is
Money is the real aphrodisiac here. Most of the tension rides on who has it, who lost it, and what it buys. Niko's partner does nearly all the seducing with sly one-liners while Niko stays oblivious, so the free part is all talk and loaded glances, with the heat kept on a low burn.
