Before episode 1
Tyler ended things with Sienna a week ago, after a relationship that made her practically part of the household. She drops by to collect a box of belongings, timing the visit for a weekend when Tyler is away at the lake. His father, Marcus, has been on his own since Tyler's mother walked out, and he means to hand over the box and say a polite goodbye. Sienna has other plans. Meanwhile Tyler has moved on with the woman he cheated with, and she is about to make things worse.
The people in it
- Sienna: Tyler's ex, wounded and calculating, who wants the one revenge he could never shrug off.
- Marcus: Tyler's father and the narrator, a patient, attentive man who knows this is a terrible idea.
- Tyler: The son who dumped Sienna after cheating on her, conveniently away at the lake.
- The new girlfriend: Tyler's replacement for Sienna, smug about it, who strolls in through the open gate.
The two free episodes
Episode 1Free, no account
Marcus narrates: his son split with Sienna a week back, and today she has come for her things. Tyler is at the lake until Sunday, he tells her; she knows, which is why she picked today. She remarks how quickly a person stops counting as family, and Marcus calls his son a fool. She asks for help with her back, since Tyler never got it right, then says Marcus is too good at it. He calls it a terrible idea; those are the best kind, she replies. A woman appears, sent through the unlocked gate for Tyler's charger. Sienna knows what would wreck Tyler most. Marcus objects that Tyler is his son. That, she says, is the point.
Episode 2Free with a free account
The newcomer calls Sienna the clingy ex Tyler warned about, declares herself his girlfriend and tells her to take her box and stay gone. Sienna vows to return. She is the woman Tyler cheated with. Marcus decides his son is a bigger fool than he thought. Sienna likes that Marcus finishes what he starts; he credits patience. He opens up about Tyler's mother, who left as quietly as Tyler drops people, and Sienna says he deserves better than an empty house. He is starting to like having her around. Once they start, there is no turning back; good, she says, she wants everything Tyler considers off-limits. Then Tyler sends word he is coming home tonight. Their response: hurry.
Where the free run stops. Both free episodes are done once Tyler announces his surprise trip home and the pair decide to speed up rather than stop. Whether they go through with it before he arrives, and what he walks in on, is left open.
What kind of show it is
A revenge drama with a slow, deliberate seduction. Most of it is talk: breakup bitterness, a father's guilt, sharp jabs at an absent son. Sienna leads with cool calculation while Marcus resists on principle and loses ground in every scene. For now the heat sits in close touches and promises rather than payoff.
