Before episode 1
Kyle's father remarried a month ago, and his new wife, Skye, is 22. Kyle meets her for the first time and gets an immediate verdict: he is better looking than his photo. Then his dad announces he will be gone the whole summer and leaves Skye in his adult son's care. That means months under one roof with a stepmom close to his own age, a bathroom door that refuses to latch, and a father too far away to notice anything.
The people in it
- Kyle: Skye's adult stepson, put in charge of her for the summer and bad at not looking.
- Skye: Dad's 22-year-old new wife, sore from leg day, teasing, and unbothered by doors that won't close.
- Kyle's dad: Newly remarried and away for months, trusting his son to look after his wife.
- Skye's friend: A wine-seeking visitor who sizes up the stepson, predicts a fun summer, then exits fast.
The two free episodes
Episode 1Free, no account
Kyle sums up the family news in voiceover: Dad has had a new wife since last month, and she is 22. When they meet, Skye says his name and tells him he is better looking in person than in his photo. Then she groans and asks him to ignore her, since leg day has left her unable to sit comfortably. Kyle manages a single cool. His dad appears, trades greetings with his son, and announces he will be away for the entire summer, asking Kyle to look after Skye. Kyle says he has it covered, and the length of the trip gets an incredulous echo. Skye heads for the shower and mentions, casually, that the bathroom door does not close properly.
Episode 2Free with a free account
Skye reappears and asks whether Kyle missed her. He claims he was watching TV; she points out that the screen is dark. She tells him to relax, since she is practically his mom now. A friend of hers arrives hoping for wine, notices Kyle, learns he is the stepson, and predicts an entertaining summer before deciding to leave before she witnesses something. Alone again, Skye accuses Kyle of looking. He denies it. She gets specific: through the door. And she admits she left it open. One of them asks the other to say stop, and the answer is that they can't.
Where the free run stops. That admission is the last free beat, with Dad gone for months and the open door explained. Who makes the first move, and what Kyle could ever tell his father, stays open, as does whether the friend's prediction about the summer comes true.
What kind of show it is
Short, flirty and very domestic: a living room, a shower, a TV that isn't on. Most of it is banter, with Skye teasing and Kyle denying everything badly. The heat comes from what he saw through a door that never shut, and from a stepmom who seems to have planned exactly that.
