Before episode 1
In this city, memories are what people sell, and Kael is the one who moves them from hand to hand without ever looking inside. That single rule is, as he tells it, the reason he's still breathing. Sable thinks his caution is adorable in the most patronizing way and keeps pushing him to try one dive. In the background looms a megacorp, and someone with authority over Kael expects his cargo to arrive untouched.
The people in it
- Kael: A courier who survives by never opening his cargo, until curiosity and a dare win out.
- Sable: Teasing, patient, and oddly possessive; she pushes Kael to dive, then wants his attention for herself.
- Olivia Carter: A woman whose name surfaces during the dive and who can't explain why she's in the memory.
The two free episodes
Episode 1Free, no account
Kael's voiceover sets the rules of his world: everyone here trades memories, he only transports them, and the one law is that he never opens a delivery. Sable teases him for still being afraid to peek. He answers that rules keep him alive; she replies that a single dive is all it would take, and dares him, just this once, just to look. He gives in. Inside the memory, the mood turns intimate: someone notes he keeps watching as though she might vanish, and Kael is asked to stay in the moment and keep his eyes on her for once. Then a name is spoken, Olivia Carter, and a woman's voice wonders how this man knows it and why she turns up in his memory.
Episode 2Free with a free account
Right away, a warning arrives: whatever Kael lifted from that chip goes back, and no second dive. Then he finds Sable waiting for him, with an explanation ready before he asks. She likes him quiet tonight, asks whether he finally trusts her, and promises that whatever lurks outside stays outside; in here it's only them. Accusations and claims pile up: someone is on the megacorp's side, and someone was erased from the system and has been missing for a year. Kael tries to tell Sable he has found a file and something is off. She brushes it aside: the file can wait, she can't. The episode closes on someone aching for one more look at her.
Where the free run stops. We leave Kael holding a file he hasn't explained and a craving he can't shake, with Sable steering him away from both. Who is Olivia Carter, why does the chip know her, and what doesn't Sable want him to read?
What kind of show it is
Pocket-sized cyberpunk noir, heavier on mood than mechanics. Dialogue does most of the work: dares, warnings, half-explained claims. The heat is folded into the dive and Sable's slow pull on Kael, who is cautious by trade, while the mystery widens faster than it explains itself.
